Schools Out: A 25th Birthday Party
I also learnt how to do a photoshop tutorial on how to have the 'Nashville' Filter on my pictures. Which was fun. Shame I don't remember what i did. I love Youtube for having tutorials on anything and everything.
Background
On Sunday, I attending one of my really old friends Birthday party. I have known her for like almost a decade. She was originally primary school friends with my secondary school friends, Id often hear them talking about her, and she would often hear them talking about me. We eventually bumped in to each other in a primary school where her sibling and my nieces n nephew attending.
We instantly became best friends, Our friendship grew so fast, She was like like the twin sister I always wanted. We spent the whole of Summer 2005 Together.
This was the first picture we ever took together, it was on our way to my friends birthday while picking up her birthday cake.

This was taken just before my friend Noshins birthday When i look back i just cringe at the way we looked. Me and my friends often laugh. This picture actually shows some form of improvement from how we were in secondary school. We looked like proper tramps, As we went to a all girls school we never had the thrive to look extremely presentable at all times.
We tended to twin a lot. I know looking back now it was really cheesy, but back then we thought it was real cool to have the same clothes in different colours. She was always the foundation of me having love for hair, make up, and foundation.
I was so useless I couldn't even do my own make up, She had to teach me from scratch. I still remember her laughing when I was struggling to apply eye liner in her room.
Over the years our we tended to grow apart, with us being at different colleges, then different university. we began developing our own interests and tended to hardly talk. Although we still attended each others birthdays.
This year was no different. After seeing her at my surprise birthday party, i realised how much I've missed her. But with me being in my final year at uni, I still couldn't make time to see her, She had developed a love for Korean food, which was awesome, it meant when I wanted Korean food i could just drag her with me, and I didn't have to force people to come with me and have them say on the way to the restaurant "why cant we just go pizza hut??"
Fast Forward
The awesome thing was
1) The venue was meant to be dark as a dungeon, Which would help me develop my understanding of DSLRs, Dim lighted areas are always hard to capture in pictures.
2) It was themed which always make awesome pictures.
The Venue
They actually have booths created, The areas are separated by these curtains and veils.
The lighting was defiantly more challenging then I expected. There were random lights popping out left right and Centre. With me using a 50mm lens it meant I had to go miles back before I could take a picture.
This was my Favourite picture of the day. Don't ask why because i don't know my self lol.
Food
I actually completely forgot to take pictures when the food arrived, I was so hungry but one of her hazardous friends took my camera and started snapping away. Should give him a gold star, Thanks to him I have A picture to show you.
The starters was amazing, The mains not so much......, And desert time, I had to run home before my parents gave me the third degree. Which I was gutted, They had Ice cream and A bat Girl cake....
More Pictures from the day
At this point I think she was still in shock haha. |
Our friend sy, Gold stars for the drawn on freckles!! |
I really wanted to get a picture of my friend same (the one hiding behind the phone) But she wouldn't let me, She looked so cute she had shorts on haha. |
Her friends had got her to change in to school uniform, Joke thing was this is the uniform that the kids in her primary school wear now. |
There is something about school uniform, that will bring out the immaturity out in people haha. It felt good to feel like school kids again. |
My Friend nosh is the only one that wore their actual school uniform I had to steal my Nephews who goes to the neighbouring boys school thats near the girls school we went to. |
HEY! Leave the Boy Alone!! (My favourite Brands of all times) |
One thing i did learn from these pictures were that I am 100% sure, that i hate the built in flash. Its so harsh, it makes everyone look sweaty. So I defiantly need to purchase a Flash Gun with a diffuser.
I must say though, After 9 years of Friendship. We defiantly look grown up, Thank God non of us have started getting wrinkles, that's when I will really feel old.
I was once told in school 10 - 15 years in the future you will look back and realise the friends you least expect to be friends with are the ones who will be your true friends. Which looking back now, I totally agree.
Thank you for reading guys, i know i blagged so much, but i guessed with her birthday (officially) few days away I needed to pay some form of appreciation to having her in my life.
Take care
