DIY: Brush Holder
Its been a while since I've been involved in any kind of DIY project. I been loosing all my make up brushes in the last couple of months. When I do find them I loose them again. The 'benefits' of having a teenage niece living with you. Everything seems to go missing.I actually Decided on finding a do it your self Bin tutorial (I really do not know why haha). So I got distracted as you do on You Tube and came Across a Tutorial by Andreaschoice. She had sprayed old tin cans with chalk spray paint and used it as a brush holder.
That was when I remembered I still had scraps of the Wonder Women Comics and decided to use them, And this is what the end result was.
What you will need?
Comic Books |
Empty Tins |
Bonding and Glossing Glue |
Masking Tape |
Scissors and a brush |
So.... Lets get Started!!!
1) Firstly you have to cut out the pictures you want to use. Also cut out any words you would like to you.
2) Make sure the pictures are the right sizes, so they fit perfectly.
3) You now need to place masking tape on the back of the pictures and place them on the tin. This should help you cover the tin neatly when you begin glueing the pictures on there
Its important to use masking tape because it wont damage the paper.
4) Once the tin is covered it should look like this.
5) Once you have decided what goes where. Remove all the pictures and place them in the order you want to stick them on in.
6) Start Glueing on the pictures
7) Once you have glued everything on it should look like this. Try your best to avoid bubbles.
8) You now need to cover the whole tin with the glue (this is glue dries transparent)
9) Leave it to dry
10) And your done, you can put your brushes, lip pencils or eye pencils in them.
Good Luck xXx
